Pilot Decision Making – PDM
Pilot decision making is a process that all pilots use before and throughout all of their flights, to both deal with mundane situations and also effectively handle more difficult ones that are encountered. Because the largest percentage of all aviation accidents can point to pilot error as a root cause, proper pilot decision making can make the most significant contribution to aviation safety. This seminar covers traditional decision making models, including personal minimums, along with some interactive exercises and an interesting algorithm that helps a pilot understand ‘worst case scenarios’ of decisions before they are made.
